CannonBelles Cheese is a women-owned artisan cheese company in Cannon Falls. We make a variety of high quality, handcrafted cheeses including gouda, four flavors of cheddar, four flavors of Colby, and our international award winning Queso Fresco. We also make eight different flavors of cheese curds. We sell to all markets, schools, grocery stores, co-ops, breweries, wineries, restaurants, etc. We don’t use any preservatives or additives in our cheese and use nearly all local ingredients, including our milk, which comes from Square Deal Dairy in Randolph, a fourth generation dairy farm family, just five miles from our cheese making facility.

We have product available throughout the year. Our fresh cheeses, cheese curds and Queso Fresco can be made to order so the customer is getting the freshest possible cheese. We also have a constant and sizeable supply of aged cheeses available. We have no limits on quantity ordered. We currently deliver throughout MN, but are working towards growing our business to the Upper Midwest region. RonMar out of Hopkins is our current distributor. We also directly deliver product ourselves. To place orders, contact kathy@cannonbelles.com.
Business Experience
We’ve been making cheese commercially for over seven years. After building our own cheese making plant in Cannon Falls in 2022, we’ve been able to exponentially grow our business, getting into more stores and schools that require a higher volume of product available. We currently sell our cheese in 75 locations around MN and also are in five schools with potential to grow those markets. We are a great fit for the Farm to School Grant program for schools. The schools we’re currently working with use our cheese in a variety of ways – Queso Fresco makes fantastic grilled cheese sandwiches and quesadillas, colby and cheddars for cheese sticks and cheese curds served as a side in their lunch, melted over or in sandwiches or used as an ala carte item. Schools also sell our cheese curds in their concession stands during sporting events.
