Elk Stew Recipe. Ingredients needed are 2 lbs. Elk, roast or steak, chunked, 1 Tbsp. salt, 1 cup celery, chunked, 2 Tbsp. sugar, 4 whole carrots, chunked, 3 Tbsp. Minute Tapioca, 3 medium potatoes, chunked, 3 splashes Worcestershire sauce, 1 onion, sliced, 1 tsp. garlic powder, ½ cup fresh bread crumbs, ½ tsp. oregano and/or other preferred seasonings, and 1-20oz can diced tomatoes. Directions: Do not pre-cook meat. Mix all ingredients together in crock pot. Cook on Low for 8-10 hours. Do not hurry stew or stir while cooking. Slow cooking is the key to its success.
