Medicine of the Trees Class

March 2 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$65

As snow melts, sap begins to rise. With the sap comes the medicine of trees. Join Angela Campbell, earth and energy medicine practitioner and professional gardener, for a day all about tree medicine. Angela will take you through the basics of tree botany, leaving you with an understanding of why early spring is the best time to collect bark medicine. We’ll stroll through the woods connecting with the medicine of trees, harvest some bark and make some tincture together. You’ll learn all about the medicinal properties of trees growing in our area.

What to Bring: Students should bring a small pocket or utility knife, notebook and pen for notes, warm clothes for the outdoor portion of the class. Additionally, there is a $7 materials fee paid directly to the instructor. Also bring any snacks you’ll need, and a water bottle.

Instructor Bio: Angela Campbell is an earth and energy medicine practitioner, educator and professional gardener. Through an embodied approach, she weaves together principles and techniques from Traditional Western Herbalism, Flower Essence Therapy, Plant Spirit Healing, Reiki, Crystal Healing and Movement/body-centered therapies into her client sessions and through her teachings.

If you would be interested in staying overnight at WEI before and/or after this class, please reserve accommodations through our FarmStay.

WEI has an annual scholarship fund to support cost-accessible programming. Please see scholarship application instructions in the class registration form.
