Oodles of Noodles…and Zoodles!
3675 Arboretum Drive
Kris James, Certified Culinary Herbalist, Chef/Culinary Educator
Swap “gluten” for “glorious” and infuse more fruits and vegetables into your diet in a new, fun way: as noodles! The spiralizer, a new tool that allows you to cut many kinds of produce into spirals and ribbons, is a trending new kitchen tool and Kris will give you an overview of its use. You’ll delight in the change from traditional bland pasta noodles to zesty flavor- and nutrient-packed noodles as you taste a variety of dishes that have raw, cooked or roasted vegetable “noodles!” Then work together in small groups to create recipes in a fun, relaxed kitchen setting. You will prepare such recipes as: Tuscan Zucchini Pasta Salad, Zoodle and Carrot Lo Mein with Fresh Ginger and Peanuts, and Ruby Beet Salad with Lemon and Pickled Shallots. Take home samples to share with family and friends, comprehensive handouts, and the knowledge you need to create delicious, healthy meals for your family.
