FarmAmerica Fall Festival
Equipment from three eras will be on site, including hand and horse-powered equipment from the 1800s. We’ll fire up the “putt putts” for some grandpa era equipment. And then… be amazed by the latest technology using precision and GPS to lay down straight rows and place seed exactly where you want it. Learn how drones help farmers make best management practice decisions.
The day will be filled with demonstrations, like oat threshing. The latest equipment will also be on hand to show how technology has helped farming evolve from survival to a market economy.
Ride the trams around the farm. You’ll be able to visit corn and soybean variety and research plots. The 1930s farmstead has pigs, cattle, chickens, and sheep.
Artisans from long ago will be on hand in Peddlers’ Grove making and selling goods of the 1800s. They will also let you join in black powder shooting, hatchet throwing, archery, and a host of craft demonstrations.
Food concessions available and new this year: a sweet corn feed.
